What makes ours different?
- We use solid brass hardware entirely. Other metals can be too strong and dangerous if a horse should get into trouble.
- All BioThane® edges are turned away from the horse's sensitive skin to prevent chafing and rubbing.
- All overlays are placed in areas that won't cause excess bulk, preventing rubbing and pressure points.
- Our designs will not interfere with horse's body and movement, such as the eyes, ears and shoulders.
- The hardware clips and buckles are designed to be user-friendly for easy adjustments and changes.
- All BioThane® equipment can be custom-made to your specifications!
BioThane® Types
Regular BioThane® (in matte or gloss) is a polyurethane-coated polyester webbing. It won't absorb water or sweat and it doesn't attract dirt or burrs. It can be cleaned by hosing down, washing in the dishwasher or washing machine. (If washing in washing machine make sure to use a pillow case to avoid scratching the inside of your machine).
Translucent BioThane® (in gloss only) is also a polyurethane-coated polyester webbing, but has a translucent quality to the coating that gives the color a bright glimmering look. Same cleaning as regular BioThane®.
Beta BioThane® is a polyvinyl-coated polyester webbing that has the same qualities of regular BioThane®, but it is a softer, more flexible material with a leather-like look and feel. Same cleaning as regular BioThane®.
